here's an update.

I turned 19 2 daysa go. it was great and climaxed at a show of the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, a local brass band. I went, Mos Def was there, I met him, he rapped and played percussion with them. it was grand.

I made a photoblog just for concert photos, its at www.blogtographer.blogspot.com . pass it around, check it out. The Mos photos are the most recent ones.

I snuck into a TV on the Radio show by bringing my saxophone and saying i was with the band. probably my biggest claim to fame.

I think there's more but I don't know. Everyone should come to new york city and call me, and we'll have a very very good time.

The Flaming Lips at the Hammeerstein ballroom was one of the most phenomenal experiences of my life. deerhoof opened. it was incredible. i can't even explain. I will if you ask me though.

My photos were featured on okayplayer.com today . go to the site and look for the update on the 23rd. or just go to this link http://www.okayplayer.com/okayphotographers/ . Chances are you are in one of the shots. I love all of you.

the lot six is a really REALLY awesome fucking band. everyone should listen to them now.

today I'm moving to New York City. if you're ever in the city, please don't hesitate to hit me up, and we'll hang out. I've already plotted how to lose my money in the next 3 months with all the amazing shows I shall see. The Flaming Lips, The Shins, TV On the Radio, Frank Black, and ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail Of Dead , to name a few. come to new york and see these shows with me. keep boston warm for when i come back.

i only wish I could say I made the flyer. Get The Memo is the band you should come to see, though they're all good. Get The Memo is:

Whit Noble: guitar and LEAAAAAD VOCALS
Zan Lamothe: bass guitar and some other leaaaaad vocals
Tom Tierney: lead guitar
Me: organ
Alex Beaton: drummmms

i can promise you its gonna be good, the rehearsals have been sounding great and we'd love to pack the place. If you're under 18, find a parent to go with, you can even go with a friend's parent, and it's gonna be a really good time. Show starts at 9, we're on 3rd, probably at 10 30 or something.

Pitchfork went great, I'll have photos up very soon.

One Eyed Stanley now has officially tracked bass and drums for the new album. it sounds so great and I really can't wait for everyone to hear it, I think its gonna blow people away. these songs are just so different and more THERE than the old ones. I dunno. I'm excited. I go to chicago to photograph the Pitchfork festival for www.stereogum.com . I'm really psyched, and I'll post all the photos. in honor of that, here are a ton of photos I've shot recently,

last time. this show is verrry special to me. so I thought I'd post about it twice. Starts at 5:30 with a meaty set from Furvis, who if you haven't seen or heard in a while, they're really fucking great. then we go on for two sets, all of our stuff, and most likely a KILLER RAFFLE during the set break. so uh, I'd love for everyone to come. bring your dancing shoes.

I want everyone at the One Eyed Stanley final show.
I have an extra ticket to the Pitchfork Music Festival. someone please buy it from me. $30.

it was great. no shows were perfect, some were bad, some were awesome, they were all experiences. every second of every day was an experience. met so many awesome people. slept on so many awesome floors. and we didn't really lose much money. Final show June 17th. final at least until next summer when I hope to tour to promote the album we're recording in June. I want everyone at this last show though. photos of the tour are coming. its 5:20 AM and I need sleep.

last club show before we go on tour. I'm really excited. more work than I've ever had to do on anything ever, but we booked 12 dates consecutively, going south through Virginia and back north. Wish us luck and hope we don't lose too much money along the way. The dates are all at www.myspace.com/oneeyedstanley if you have any friends/family in those areas you think may dig us, I have no clue if 200 or 10 people will be at any of these shows, so send em our way, it will be a grand time. as for this Thursday, many new songs, good times, come enjoy.

saw Wilco and Ted Leo at Brown on thursday. It was amazing. Wilco were so fucking phenomenal it blew me away. and Ted was great as always, if not better. great sound, especially for a gym. seeing the Roots tommorow night, the sound will most likely not be as good. but oh well.

Here are some new photos.

The fact of the matter is/ I’m a useless activist/ capitalists ruthlessly loot to fill their cabinets/ my incompetence other than rocking this has forced me into a pacifist corner/ and I’m back in this corner/ cause a book won’t tell what a book can’t spell out in images and phrases/ the pinnacle is pages/ and imbeciles are sages, reading til the day hits/ amazes/ scholars and professors a like/ they will protect their alums like I’m protecting my mic/ and they will twiddle their thumbs/ when the riddilin comes/ to imprison some/ and limit them to these perimeters of/ knowledge and the decision is done/ now I call it/ a helping hand that dealt the man a basic way of focusing better/ the way one side has agreed/ so they tighten their sweaters/ and make it harder to breathe/ and though the large thoughts are lost and gone with larger debris/ its hard to see/ this expression existing in harmony/ and so I need to take action I must take action But I can’t cut it without being a distraction/ I’m fleeing interaction/ I don’t Have what it Takes/ to make or Break any change without myself: a mistake/

not sure why i'm posting it but I'm not near ready to record any of that stuff and I wanted to put it somewhere other than my computer screen. if you feel like getting into it or wanting to read it, read it outloud, it will sound better. I capitalize words for vocal emphasis if that helps. I dunno. I'm gona start writing, hopefully performing, these raps/poems a lot more. if not now definitely in new york.

I'm thinking of tactfully entitling this the "EASTER IS FOR PUSSIES" show
or the "IF YOU DON'T COME TO THIS SHOW, THAT MEANS THE TERRORISTS WIN" show

either way, the bands in it are great, a late in the game 4th band addition of Smart Patrol is on the bill as well. We like playing for people. so if youre Jewish, Muslim, or Atheist, congrats, you now have something to do on Sunday.

If you're a Jesuslover, setup a michael jordan cutout in your room on a moving toy train set and you're parents won't even know you're gone.

I know they're silly but I like making them, and imagine gangster rapping over them. Or any rapping, they're not meant to exist on their own this is a way for me to display em. Different ones are to come though, plenty in the works.
